 NCC (National Cadet Corps)

The  NCC (National Cadet Corps) is a platform for the development of youth in India, which focus on to maintain discipline, leadership and civic responsibility. NCC (National Cadet Corps) is a organization which was formed in 15 July 1948, admits students from schools and colleges in India. NCC aims to develop unity, discipline and teamwork among young people through the implementations of structured. This programs or organization was run by Ministry of Defence of India, so it follows basic army routine such as physical training, drills, and adventure activities.

NCC Camps

NCC conducts camps to provide cadets experience, practical training, and exposure to real-world situations that complement their classroom-based NCC activities. These camps are crucial for building essential qualities such as discipline, teamwork, and leadership. Here are some camps which are conducted by NCC:-

  • Annul Training Camp (ATC) - These are the most common camps, held annually for cadets of all levels to undergo basic training in drills, physical fitness, and weapons handling.
  • Indian Military Academy Attachment Camp (IMAAC) - This camp is a special training camp held at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun, Uttarakhand. Its Purpose is Exposure to Military Training, Character and Leadership Development, Battle Craft and Field Training, Interaction with IMA Cadets and Officers.
  • Republic Day Camp (RDC) - In this camp, Cadets from all states are selected to represent their regions, and the camp culminates in the Republic Day Parade at Rajpath.
  • National Integration Camp (NIC) - NICs are held in different parts of India, aiming to promote unity and cultural understanding among cadets from diverse regions.
  • Thal Sainik Camp (TSC) -  This is a specialized camp for Army wing cadets that includes training in map reading, field craft, battle procedures, and physical fitness.
  • Nau Sainik Camp (NSC) -  this is also a specialized camp for Navy wing cadets, NSC provides training in seamanship, ship modeling, and naval communications.
  • Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC) - This is also a specialized camp for for Air Force wing cadets, VSC includes training in flying, gliding, and aero-modeling.
  • Advance Leadership Camps (ALC) - These camps focus on enhancing leadership qualities among cadets and include both theoretical sessions and practical exercises.
  • Adventure Camps - These  types of camps involve activities like trekking, rock climbing, mountaineering, and parasailing, aiming to build physical endurance and mental strength.

MY NCC Journey , PART-1

 MY NCC Journey Hello everyone, I Junior Under Officer Kapil Bhandari from the Delhi Directorate. Before earning the rank of Junior Under Officer, I was just a regular civilian. I completed my schooling from Angels Public School, Vasundhara Enclave, Delhi, which is a private school. I don’t know much about NCC in other states or directorates, but in Delhi, most NCC units are associated with government schools. This meant that I was completely unaware of NCC opportunities during my school years. After I finished my  12 th  grade, one of my friend say if you want to make your college experience good, so join NCC because in there are too many different types of camp. Soon after, our college posted a notice of "Enrollment soon". Then I search NCC seniors to know more about and buy any chance he is Junior Under Officer of our college.
