NCC Training Stealing Cadet's Student Life😲😲

NCC: One of the Largest Youth Organizations Stealing There Cadet's Student Life

If you all also think the same or you think any of the points given below, then this blog is for you:
  1. India's biggest youth organization: NCC tortures its cadets and gives them punishment / Ragada.
  2. If you have joined NCC then you cannot work in civil workplace... you have only choice to join defense line.
  3. Student's classes are disturb due to NCC.
  4. In NCC you have to do only marching/stumping.
I Junior Under Officer Kapil Bhandari, I will prove all these doubts of everyone wrong, clear them and show you the reality of NCC.

1. NCC tortures its cadets and gives them punishment / Ragada.

  • I would like to clarify this thing for you, there is no ragada/punishment in NCC. Its a basic exercise which you can do in daily routine at home or in gym such as push-up, squats, crunches, long running, sprint, stretching etc. for warming-up for drill practice or making you physically fit.
2. If you have joined NCC then you cannot work in civil workplace... you have only choice to join defense line.
  • Direct Entry into Army: Cadets who have completed the NCC training with a C-Certificate can apply for the NCC Special Entry Scheme. Under this scheme, they can directly enter the Indian Army without having to go through the written exam (like the NDA or CDS).
  • Civil Career Opportunities: Many students join NCC for the leadership, discipline, and teamwork skills that are valuable in any profession, including the civil sector.
  • Personal Growth and Recognition: Having NCC experience on your resume can actually be an asset in many civil sector jobs. Employers value the qualities that NCC develops, such as discipline, time management, crisis management, and leadership. Some private companies and organizations look for these traits when hiring candidates.
The main aim of joining the NCC is to transform a student into a cadet, a person who excels in various aspects of life. Being a cadet is not just about physical strength or military skills, it is about building a well-rounded individual who is disciplined, responsible, and capable of thriving in any environment, whether it’s the defense or civil sector. You can join the NCC, it does not restrict you to the defense sector.

3. Student's classes are disturb due to NCC.

  • Junior Division (for school students): Training usually takes place once or twice a week for about 1 to 2 hours per session.
  • Senior Division (for college students): The training frequency may increase to 2-3 times a week, with each session lasting 2 to 3 hours.
Schools and colleges aim to keep NCC training flexible, ensuring it doesn’t interfere with academic hours. As a result, NCC activities are often scheduled after school hours or on weekends to avoid any disruption to regular classes. So it is completely wrong to say that classes are disturbed due to NCC.

4. In NCC you have to do only marching/stumping.

  • Drill and Marching (Stumping)- Yes, Drill is one of the core activities in NCC, and it involves marching, saluting, and learning military formations because this helps cadets develop discipline, coordination, teamwork, and posture.
  • Physical Fitness and Physical Training (PT)- NCC cadets also undergo regular physical training (PT) sessions to build their endurance, strength, and overall fitness. PT includes running, stretching, exercises, and sometimes even activities like yoga to promote physical health and mental clarity.
  • Leadership Training- Leadership is a key focus of NCC, with cadets learning how to take charge in various situations, work as a team, and develop management skills. This training includes camp leadership roles and learning how to manage and guide a team through tasks and challenges.
  • Weapon Training- In more advanced stages of NCC (especially for senior cadets), students may receive basic training in handling firearms and weapons.
  • Social Service and Community Work- Another important aspect of NCC is social service. Cadets often participate in activities like blood donation, tree plantation, community outreach programs, and disaster relief work.
  • Educational Lectures and Classes- Cadets also attend lectures on subjects like military history, defense studies, ethics, and personality development. These theoretical components help cadets understand the role of the military and their responsibilities as young leaders.
Education-Related Competitions- NCC (National Cadet Corps) encourages cadets to participate in various education-related competitions to enhance their knowledge, skills, and personality. These competitions promote teamwork, and creativity like essay writing contests, debates, Quiz Competitions, poster designing, model making, and photography.

I hope what I have explained will help you and clear all your doubts. If you have any questions or doubts, please comment and I will clarify them in the next blog.
